Installation
Download WiTwin Studio for Windows, macOS or Linux, or open the web app, then sign in with your WiTwin account.
Studio is a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, and a web app at studio.witwin.ai. Both need a WiTwin account.
Requirements#
| Minimum | |
|---|---|
| Windows | Windows 10 or 11, x64 |
| macOS | Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Intel Macs are not supported yet. |
| Linux | x64 distribution that runs AppImage or .deb packages |
| GPU | An NVIDIA GPU with a current driver for GPU solvers. The editor itself runs without one. |
| Network | Needed to sign in and for the Agent's model calls |
Download#
Get the latest build from the releases page or the download button on witwin.ai.
Run WiTwin-Studio-Setup-<version>.exe. It installs for the current user
and keeps Studio up to date automatically.
If you cannot install software, use WiTwin.Studio-Portable-<version>.exe
instead. The portable build does not update itself.
Studio checks for updates on start and installs them on the next restart. Beta builds are published as pre-releases.
When Studio opens, choose Get started and sign in with Google or GitHub. The desktop app opens your browser for the sign-in and returns to Studio when it is done. Your account is also used for the Agent's model calls and, later, for cloud machines.
Use the web app#
Open studio.witwin.ai and sign in. The web app has the same editor. It works on Projects hosted for you or on a machine you connect yourself; it cannot open folders on your computer directly. See Connect your own machine.
Next steps#
