Release notes
What changed in each WiTwin Studio beta release, newest first.
Studio is in beta. Beta builds are published as pre-releases on GitHub and installed copies update themselves.
Next beta#
These changes are on the development branch and ship in the next beta.
Agent#
- The Agent runs inside the Project's server process. A turn keeps going when you reload the window, and a Project runs one writing turn plus up to four read-only turns at once.
- Subagents, background Sessions, plan mode and question cards.
- Add to Chat puts an object, file, Result or text selection into the message as a context chip.
- Automatic compaction of long Sessions and model-written Session titles.
Projects#
- No start screen: with no Project open, the chat shows six template cards (Empty Scene, Radar Sim, Channel Sim, EM Design, Home Simulation, Street Map). Plugins can add more.
- The Projects list groups Sessions under each Project, marks the loaded Project, and confirms before switching.
- Every new Project is an ordinary Python project with a git repository and
a first commit. The
witwincommand and thewitwin.studiopackage open, edit and solve it without the editor.
Modeling and parameters#
- Parameters, formulas and units replace the node editor (Formula Graph).
- Design Optimization with gradient, sweep, Monte Carlo, genetic, PSO and Bayesian Studies.
- Viewport modeling toolbar, parameter handles and Edit Mode for points, edges and faces.
Git#
- Git view in the top bar: stage, commit with model-written messages, branches, remotes, object-level Scene diffs and Git LFS.
Viewport#
- Shadows redraw only when the Scene changes, and the Ultra preset no longer uses MSAA, which makes large Scenes faster.
